Head of Innovation

Description

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the senior day-to-day partner for priority biotech clients and to build and lead the growth the AI powered communications services portfolio launched from the German office. You will build enduring client partnerships, deliver high-quality work, and drive commercial results while embedding AI enabled workflows to scale delivery beyond headcount constraints. You will lead by example and develop a high performing, collaborative team.  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic partnerships with biotech/biopharma clients; grow accounts and new business.
• Define and embed AI-enabled communications delivery (~70% assisted outputs) with human-in-loop QA.
• Ensure program excellence across KPIs: quality, timeliness, compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, and operations across European and global markets.
• Drive agency recognition through thought leadership and industry engagement.
• Coach, mentor, and inspire teams; foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

• Demonstrated leadership in healthcare/biopharma communications (agency background).
• Proven record in client growth, new business, and P&L management.
• Strong understanding of AI in marketing/communications; technical fluency preferred.
• Expertise in healthcare compliance (e.g., EFPIA, ABPI) and medical/regulatory review.
• Excellent leadership, commercial, and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; able to build and scale new service models.
